Businesses succeed based on a number of key points, which include selection of products, price points and of course location. But one important factor that comes into play is the level of customer service the company provides patrons with and how positive or negative the experience reflects on the overall company.
Good customer service skills are essential to a successful business for two reasons. First no matter if it’s the real estate industry or the automotive service industry, it all relates back to how the customer feels and their overall experience.
If it is positive and they felt that there were well taken care of, they are more likely to return over someone who felt neglected, or mistreated.
In many cases, the employees who were paid slightly more on the job, demonstrated better customer service skills and were happier at work, which in turn reflected on how they treated consumers. This goes to show that if businesses are willing to spend a little more money on their employees that they are more likely to enjoy what they do and therefore show it in their work.
Take Calgary auto body shops for example. If the mechanics are mistreated and underpaid, they are either going to go somewhere else, or be miserable at work, which directly reflects the work on customer vehicles.
Essentially, businesses need to spend money to make money and that old adage is bang on.
