When It’s Time To Fix Or Repair Your Calgary Chevrolet Windshield

A common complaint of driver’s is when their new or used cars get smacked with a rock and it either cracks or chips their windshield. Although easily fixed, it can be a real nuisance and if not taken care of properly, can be quite costly depending on the make and model of the vehicle itself.

While most front windshields can cost anywhere from $150 to $300 to replace entirely, side and back windows can be much more expensive, which is why some motorists opt for glass coverage. This is something most insurance companies offer to clients, but is an optional policy add-on.

The difference between fixing and completely replacing your windshield is quite easy to differentiate. First of all, if there are spider cracks all over the place, it’s a good idea to simply replace it or if there is a crack of any size, it’s in your best interest to shell out the money and get it over and done with.

That said, if you just have a couple chips, simply taking it in and getting some chip repair work done is your best bet. Do this sooner rather than later though so those chips don’t end up turning into cracks.
